What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Data Governance, you will be a key member of the Enterprise Chief Data Office. The Director, Data Governance Adherence, will be accountable to create and maintain data governance policy, standards, procedures, and processes, in alignment with the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy through collaboration with key members of the Chief Data Office and control partners across the enterprise. This role is also accountable for supporting the creation of Enterprise Data Governance Adherence strategy and execution, enabling demonstration of data governance oversight responsibilities across the enterprise. What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Data Governance, you will be a key member of the Enterprise Chief Data Office. The Director, Data Risk Dashboard and Reporting, will build strong relationships with individuals within the Chief Data Office and across Strategic Business Units and Functional Groups, to enable expansion and evolution of enterprise data risk reporting and insights. This role is accountable for development and reporting of enterprise data risk metrics, progress reporting on enterprise implementation of Data Governance and Data Management capabilities in alignment with Data strategy and Target Operating Model, enterprise data policy adherence reporting, and associated management reporting and insights, including partnership with Enterprise Technology for development of automated reporting solution. Aa a Director, Data Risk Dashboard and Reporting you’ll develop standard data risk metrics reporting in alignment with current state capabilities, through collaboration with multiple stakeholders within Business and Technology and incorporation of best practices. You’ll also evolve metrics to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), at an enterprise aggregate and Business Unit level, along with maturing enterprise data capabilities as well as partner with Enterprise Technology to develop requirements and solution for automated enterprise data risk dashboard reporting. In addition to this you’ll collaborate and partner with teams within Chief Data Office, to develop and report on progress of data governance, data management delivery, adoption across the enterprise as well as data oversight and challenge of enterprise data governance and data management capabilities and adherence to requirements. As a leader you, direct, motivate, develop and manage performance of the team, by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities.

As a member of the Commercial Banking team, you’ll work with our clients to create end-to-end financial solutions to help build a comprehensive approach to finance growth, manage cash flow, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk. What you’ll be doing
As a member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll work in a fast-paced Banking Centre where you’ll have a meaningful difference on the lives of our clients. As an Associate Financial Advisor / Associate Financial Services Specialist, you’ll form a deep understanding of your personal and small business clients’ needs as you recommend simple, personalized solutions that will help them achieve their financial goals. You’ll manage, either individually or as part of a team, a portfolio of mortgage clients where the focus is on deepening the client relationship. How the Program Works
The Financial Advice Campus Development Program will develop advisor capability to build financial plans for new and existing clients to achieve their financial goals. The associate financial advisor will be supported in their learning journey by dedicated Associate Financial Advisors, Community General Managers, and Specialists. There will be three learning components to the first year in role:
Successful candidates will enter a 7-9 month rotational program to start in June 2024, where they will be provided the opportunity to develop, learn and gain experience in banking center roles via 3-rotations (Customer Service Representative, Financial Service Representative, and Associate Financial Advisor) within Community Banking Centres under Personal and Business Banking, determined based on business needs.
This program will include a supported accreditation journey towards MFDA along with additional education to help you learn the CIBC systems and lending processes.
Upon completion of this program you will be placed on a portfolio.

As a member of the Personal and Business Banking Team, you’ll build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and exceptional client service. As a Financial Advisor, you’ll deliver on CIBC’s Imperial Service approach, acting as a single point of contact for your clients and helping them plan for today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals. You’ll make lasting connections and provide the right financial advice, helping them secure their futures, own homes, and set up businesses. You’re flexible to work our banking centre hours which may include evenings and weekends. To help deliver a great client experience, you’re flexible to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance.

How you'll succeed
Client engagement - Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Provide tailored advice and solutions in all areas of financial planning including day-to-day banking, investments, lending and estate planning. Cultivate your network to establish new client relationships.
Business development - Deeply understand your local market and potential client base to create sales plan that will convert leads into new clients. Use your strong relationship building and networking skills to create connections, generate opportunities, and deliver bottom line results. Leverage CIBC’s wide range of credit and investment solutions to provide a needs-based approach that will result in satisfied, loyal clients and increased referrals.
Community involvement - Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities. Grow your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.
Who you are
You’re a certified professional (IIROC - Ontario). You have current accreditation and good standing for IIROC licensing requirements; Canadian Securities Course (CSC) written within the past 3 years is required upon hire, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials Course (WME). You have, or are willing to obtain before your start date, the Designated Financial Services Advisor Designation (DFSA) through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
You can demonstrate 1 – 3 years experience in providing financial advice to clients and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets.
