POSITION SUMMARY
The (Associate) Lecturer will be required to teach and conduct classes in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration in line with the University’s quality assurance requirements. The Associate Lecturer is also required to undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. It is expected that the (Associate) Lecturer will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy.
The (Associate) Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the University, in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Specifically, the (Associate) Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. The (Associate) Lecturer is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links, and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The (Associate) Lecturer is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation. The (Associate) Lecturer may be responsible for course coordination.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
1. PhD or equivalent relevant Doctoral qualification from a recognised institution.
2. For Associate Lecturer: A Master degree in the relevant discipline; have commenced or enrolled to commence in Doctoral course is preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at the undergraduate level, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high-quality curriculum or program materials.
4. Proven proficiency in 2D and 3D Animation, and two or more of the following:
✓ Digital video production
✓ Visual effects & colour grading
✓ 3D motion graphics
✓ Concept art and previsualisation
5. Ability to undertake course coordination role.
6. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and negotiate sensitively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning.
7. For lecturer:
✓ Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
✓ Demonstrated ability to supervise higher-degree research candidates.
✓ Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
9. Recent and sustained performance regarding student outcomes, student experience and feedback; combined with experience and skill in a range of teaching settings.
10. Ability to operate within own discipline and cross-disciplinary/multidisciplinary teams to achieve department and University strategic outcomes.
11. Ability to work with external partners, industries, organisations and communities and can operate effectively to address complex issues or seek opportunities.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS 7.0 (academic, with no skill less than 6.5) (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines).
For any role, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by showing successful completion of secondary education to a level qualifying to enter university study while being instructed through the medium of English, as per the RMIT University recognised qualification list.
WORK PERMIT

POSITION SUMMARY
Under supervision of the School Manager and Dean of School, the Executive Assistant is responsible for providing essential support through diary management, managing correspondence and documentation, drafting letters and standard communications; ensuring that correspondence and presentations are of a high standard; and assisting the Dean of School to ensure that actions arising from correspondence and meetings are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
The Executive Assistant also provides support to designated members of the College and School Executive leadership teams, as well as the Industry School Advisory Board members upon request. The incumbent will contribute to other tasks that also include local/national/international teleconference and meeting coordination, committee servicing and minute taking, event organisation, travel bookings as well as responding to email and phone enquiries for the Dean of School.
The nature of the position requires regular contact with different sectors within the University and is the first point of contact for people wishing to communicate with the Dean of School. It also requires interactions with external agencies, corporations, government officials and staff in other education institutions, as well as broadly across the university globally.
Key Accountabilities
a) diary management which encompasses all arrangements associated with organising internal and external meetings for the DoS and work diary and travel arrangements domestically and internationally;
b) preparing/drafting and/or responding to correspondence through emails, letters, memos, reports and presentation materials including routine correspondence, speech notes;
c) managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence, using the TRIM or other management systems, and;
d) preparing/organising briefing material relating to the DoS’ appointments and meetings, including supporting the preparation and production of meeting papers.
